Bluetooth is a technology that allows two devices to communicate with each other. 

With Oregon and Washington’s laws requiring the use of a hands free device while driving, many customers are choosing a Bluetooth solution.  With this type of connection your phone and the Bluetooth device are paired together.  After this connection is created every time you turn on the Bluetooth it will automatically connect to your phone.

So whenever your in our car your phone should be connected to the Bluetooth, providing legal hands free driving.

 

In Dash Radio:
With the purchase of a new in dash radio, you can choose a Bluetooth option.  More and more radios are being designed from the ground up to be a connection for your wireless phone.  These connections allow for or phone call to be played through your vehicle speakers.  This allows for the best possible sound quality.

Some radios even allow for music stored in your phone’s memory or accessed through an app on your smart phone to play on your new radio!

Built In Hands Free Systems:
These systems get installed into your vehicle’s existing audio system or play through a separate speaker.  They have their own control panel. Basic versions will have a volume knob, an answer and end buttons.  More advanced models have display screens that show you call ID.  Even more advanced models can read or text messages, and play music from a USB flash drive, iPod, iPhone, or any personal music player.

As an option on these systems, we can install a separate speaker into the vehicle. This is usually done to reduce the cost of the installation. These will dramatically reduce the sound quality of the system.  These add on speakers just don’t have the sound quality of your vehicle speakers.  Especially, if you have us install a speaker upgrade. 

 

Removable Speaker Phones:
These systems attach to your vehicles sun visor or can be used portably.  They feature rechargeable batteries so you can not go to far without a charge.  The sound quality of these systems varies widely.

 

Ear Piece System:
            These systems are small devices that attach to your ear. They have built in speakers and microphones. Like the removable speaker phones these come in a variety of quality levels. Some of the more advanced models have military grade noise canceling technology to provide the best possible conversation.
